THE TEAM

Meet the movers behind Wild Wavy Studio. ✨

This studio was born due to a huge passion for pole dance, aerial acrobatics, yoga and dance. We could not be more happy that this resulted in an amazing team of passionate, open-minded and caring instructors. Here you can read a little bit more about all of us.

Nina (she/her)

Pole Dance Instructor, Aerial Hoop Instructor, Yoga Teacher, Studio Owner

I did a lot of different sports when I was child ranging from gymnastics, swimming, equestrian vaulting all the way to my first aerial experience with trapeze – but I was far away from all of that when I finally tried pole dance in 2020. I heard about pole dance for the first time when I was 17, back when my high school best friend fell madly in love with it. She right away told me to try it out and in the end she was right – I fell in love with it too. In 2017 I moved to New Zealand and found my passion for Yoga while I was living and working at a Yoga Retreat Center. Due to world circumstances and health issues it took until 2022 when I was finally able to attend regular classes and ditch my wooden beam in my kitchen that I used as a pole alternative. Right away it was so much fun and I felt reconnected with my inner child – you would find me nearly every day at the little gym that offered pole back then. After every class I felt more confident, comfortable in my body and met some of my best friends in classes. Over the years I had a lot of different teachers and saw a lot of different studios. Class environment is very important to me and now as a teacher it is important to me that I can create a welcoming and safe space within my own classes. I love meeting new people and trying to help them figure out how pole dance or yoga can add to their life. My love for movement grew into other areas of aerial acrobatics and dance, and I can not wait to share this love and passion with you! When you attend my classes I invite you to just be yourself and let go of any expectations. We are here to have fun exploring movement and learning new ways to express ourselves. My focus lies on truly understanding the different forms of movement and guiding movers towards exploring their own flow. I started teaching pole dance a little bit less than a year after I started myself. At first I was only internally trained, but it was important for me to continue educating myself and got multiple teacher certifications with Xpert for the instructor level 1-4. I also attended a 200hr YTT which helped me understand even more about the anatomy behind movement. When I started teaching, I right away had multiple contact hours per week. Since then I gained more than 500 hours of teaching experience with a big variety of movers from all over the world.

Celine (she/her)

Pole Dance Instructor

I started pole dance in october 2021 at Poda Studio after years of admiring dancers and athletes on instagram. Before I started, I was not really into sports but this changed when I randomly checked for pole classes in my area and got my membership right after my first trial class. And then everything went really fast: I trained a lot on and off the pole, learned all the basics from amazing instructors and online tutorials, fell in love with different dance styles, especially on heels and started creating my own choreos and performing them at the studio, I competed for the first time, did teacher trainings and then started teaching very soon and I’m so grateful for this journey because pole has helped me so much in so many ways with self love, physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, even with the way I connect with others and so much more! I love all the different dance styles on heels with pole but also on the floor, especially hard style with all the drops, flips, kips and acro moves, but also the more flowy and sensual side because balance is key right? 🙂 But I also love learning new ways of holding and transitioning in and out of pole tricks on spinning pole off heels just as I love dynamically swinging and flipping around the static pole to challenge myself. Pole has so much to offer! It is imporant to me to make sure everyone, no matter their age, shape, gender, abilities or backgrounds, feels comfortable and safe enough to explore movement in a fun way, building confidence in their bodies and discovering their own styles and I really hope I can make everyone have a fun time leave my classes with a big smile. I got my Polebatics Teacher Basic certification and the Pole Teacher Beginner certification in 2022 where I learned the foundations of being a pole instructor and I have taught 200+ pole classes since then which allowed me to learn how to teach tricks and choreos in different ways to many different kinds of people.

Aylin (she/her)

Pole Dance Instructor

I started pole dance in 2020/2021 because my best friend gifted me a trial class at Drehimpuls Aachen. I was super nervous but immediately signed up for more! There was a long lockdown and I eventually decided to buy a home pole, which is when my real pole journey started. I was able to dance without judgement, to my own music, be able to get close to a way of movement that felt home to my body. I have now been taking more classes since I realized that it’s very valuable to learn different techniques and approaches to movement from other dancers. Pole dancing led me to find a community and actual friends all over the world whom I love and cherish. It is very important to me to recognize and respect the roots of pole in Strip Clubs and Sex work, and specifically the role that people of color played in the development. My style is still evolving but it is mostly flowy, gooey, intentional. I love spin pole but have also loved to learn static pole flows and edgework.

I am Xpert Level 1&2 Certified, but got most of my experience from teaching for a year, planning on learning a lot more! I am currently saving up to get Liquid Motion certified next year.

Vika (she/her)

Yoga Teacher, Mobility & Flexibility Instructor

Ever since I have started practicing Yoga over 10 years ago, it was my continuous reminder to be present and in tune with my Self. I just love how it made both, my body and mind more flexible and stronger. In my classes you can expect a playful practice that focuses on creating space were we feel restricted and ease were there is tension. In the mobility classes we work on specific skills like our middle & front split, backbends and inversion. With dedication and some fun we will surely see progress fast. In 2018 I finished my first 300hr teacher training in India, which introduced me to the rich traditions of this practice. Learning about the depths of the teachings, I directly felt called to practice and study it further.
A 200 hr teacher training followed to strengthen the foundation and to be able to share it with others.
In addition, I finished a 100 hr prenatal course to make it an accessible and safe practice for pregnant women.

Having experienced the inspiring and transforming powers of Yoga in my own life, I am dedicated to share its benefits with others. So happy to be meeting you on the mat soon!

Danica (she/her)

Pole Dance Instrucor

I’m Danica, a passionate and dedicated pole sport and lyra hoop instructor originally from sunny South Africa. My journey into the world of pole dancing began in 2019, and it has been an incredible adventure ever since. In June 2024, I made the exciting move to Belgium, which I now happily call home. In addition to pole sport, I’ve conquered hoop, gymnastics, and stretch classes in my quest for aerial excellence. I’m super excited to blend strength, grace, and creativity in all my classes. I look forward to helping you reach new heights, smash your pole and aerial goals, and have an amazing time while doing it. Let’s dive into this empowering journey together—I can’t wait to see you shine!

I’ve had the thrill of competing in multiple competitions, including the South African Pole and Aerial Nationals competition, where I proudly snagged 2nd place. I hold all necessary certifications, including a specialized pole instructor certificate, and I am thrilled to bring my knowledge and experience to all of you.

Having danced all her life, she specializes in Heels Dance and has taught classes in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany and England. Next to teaching, she is involved in various artistic projects. Amongst other things, they performed at various YouTube and Gaming Conventions, which allowed her to gather a bit of stage experience at a young age. However, it wasn’t until 2019 that she discovered Heels Dance. She is completely self-taught in this style.

Marine (she/her)

Aerial Hoop Instructor, Mobility & Flexibility Teacher

I grew up never liking sports and was kind of a nerdy kid. However I soon found that movement is essential to my well-being. I started with yoga all the way back in 2016, then strength training in 2018. Then, in 2020, I realized you only live once and need to dare step out of your comfort zone to reach for your dreams – and I signed up for my first aerial hoop class! It was love at first spin and my hobby soon became an obsession that I’m eager to share with everyone. Since then, I’ve also come to love the art of pole dancing, and the next challenge I’m trying to tackle is contortion training. I will be teaching regularly at Wild & Wavy from October onwards. See you there!

Maria (she/her)

Pole Dance Instrucor

My pole journey started in September 2023. After a fun introduction class, I knew I had found my new favorite dance style. I thoroughly enjoy the wide range of dance styles and moves that can flow into pole dance; from the explosive, powerful and strength based movements, to the soft, elegant and flowy poses. Although my preference lies with the flexibility-based moves, I am happily still exploring all sides and aspect of pole. My previous dance experience lies primarily with ballet and jazz dance, but throughout the years I have also experimented with hip hop and modern dance. I find dance to be one of the most expressive art forms there are, allowing you not only externalize complex emotions, but also letting you experience new sensations through active movement. My goal for my classes is to help all students explore movement, gain confidence in their abilities, and get comfortable with the basic elements of pole dance.

Elisabeth (she/her)

Pole Dance Instructor, Aerial Hoop Substitute Instructor

My aerial journey began in Aalborg, Denmark, where I had just moved for an internship during the uniquely isolating days of the pandemic. From a young age, I had always admired circus performers: their strength, grace, and creativity, but with my “wet spaghetti” strength and the flexibility of a broomstick, I never thought sport was something for me. Still, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone, so I signed up at a local studio. That’s where I discovered aerial hoop and instantly fell in love. Although I dabbled in pole as well, hoop truly won my heart. Beyond the tricks and spins, I discovered something deeper: the openness, love, and support of the aerial community, which helped me feel less alone and showed me a non-competitive, encouraging side of sport. Unfortunately, my studio went into lockdown just three months later due to the pandemic.

When I moved back to Groningen in the Netherlands, there were no hoop studios around, so I joined my university’s student pole association De Noordpole in October 2021 and that’s where my pole journey officially began. There, I met my first pole sisters, some of the sweetest and most supportive friends anyone could wish for. Even when the pandemic caused closures, we kept each other motivated and continued training together. Pole quickly became so much more than a hobby for me: it’s a creative outlet, an emotional anchor, and a loving community. No matter where I move or visit, the pole community has always welcomed me with open arms. It’s also changed how I see myself, shifting my focus from how my body looks to what it can do. It has helped me build healthier relationships, moving from competition toward collaboration and shared growth. Every “impossible” trick I’ve unlocked has taught me something about persistence, patience, and self-belief that has been transferable to all different areas of life.

After subbing a few classes and gaining my Xpert pole certificate, I officially joined Wild Wavy Studio as a teacher in February 2025. While I’m still new to teaching, I’m incredibly excited to learn and grow alongside my students. I’ve been lucky to have amazing teachers and friends guide me through both my pole journey and life’s challenges and I hope to give that same support back. I believe in learning together, celebrating progress in all its forms, and creating a space where everyone feels encouraged, capable, and free to express themselves.
