Since we got so many requests for aerial yoga, we decided to have a small little workshop for you next Saturday!🤎✨ So for everyone that wants us to bring aerial yoga to the studio, now is your chance. Read more about it below. 🪴

Mix your love of flying with the feeling of being grounded. In this beginner friendly workshop we’ll go through the basics of hammock and a beautiful yoga sequence to stretch and relax both body and mind. The hammock helps you to get deeper into the yoga poses (asana’s) and invites you to become more aware of your body. ✨

You do not need to have prior experience. Please bring leggings and any top that you feel comfortable in!

FLOWY HAMMOCK • level: beginner friendly

This workshop will focus on flowy hammock combos with pretty transitions and shapes. We will work with a one point setup, so we can also add some spin! You should feel comfortable upside down, don't forget to wear long clothes. 🌀

TWERK - SHAKE IT OFF • level: open level

This workshop is all about bouncing and shaking your bum and having lots of fun while doing so. You will learn a choreo and basic technique. Please take shorts or loose pants, knee pads and sneakers with you. 🍑

A lot of the times people tell me that they want to try out aerial, pole or dance but they have worries "i don't have any strength", "i have no flexibility", "i am worried how my body will look" - and let me tell you one thing: in class you will see anyone and everyone. Strength and flexibility will come naturally, and you would be surprised how you will get to know yourself on a different level! The self conscious thoughts will become more and more quiet after you are starting to notice how much you can do, how fun it is to learn and how good it just feels to MOVE. And before you know it you are not focusing anymore on how you look but just how it feels. In today's world that is a very special feeling and I truly hope everyone gets to experience it! So take this as a little reminder that this is your life and if you want to do something you can. Everyone in class and at the studio is here to support you and celebrate all the little achievements with you. We all have been through this journey. And we would always do it again.

In the advanced classes you will notice that everyone is starting to truly move in their own style, so while we learn combos they will look very different for everyone. Here our bendy queens turned a splitty handstand into a shrimp moment. 😍 It is always so nice to see what you create with the little combos, choreos and moves you learn at the studio.

SENSUAL HEELS POLE • level: walk and pirouette on heels

In this 1.5h Sensual Heels Pole workshop, we will explore the movement qualities that make heels pole dance sexy, sensual and expressive, how to utilise tension and release to sink into your body and feel your movement. I will teach you some combinations with elements such as body rolls, touch, gaze, legwork, basework, and how to texturise them to make them fit your own personal sensual persona. My goal for the end of this workshop is for you to discover a side of sexy pole that feels as good as it looks, and for you to explore what sensual expression means for you.

To wear: Heels, sexy outfit

SENSUAL SPIN POLE • level: climb, sit, invert, leg hang, walk and pirouette on heels

In this 1.5h Sensual Spin Pole workshop, we will explore how to make a spin pole combination more sexy and more stylized: how to elevate a climb, a sit, a figurehead, a leg hang, or any shape into a sensual dance. We will combine some low flow elements with an aerial combination, to create a spin pole sequence ready for the stage. The entire workshop will be danced in heels, though you are free to remove them when trying new moves.

To wear: Heels, sexy outfit, bare legs for grip

Meet Maria (she/her). ✨ Maria is joining our team from December onwards and we can't wait for her to bring in her dance experience. Fun fact, when I (Nina) was still studying, Maria was the president of our dance club. I am so glad I met you and that back then I got to give you an introduction to pole dance. 🥰 I am proud to say that all of our instructors at wild wavy are internationally certified and went through a lot of training to bring you safe, fun and unique classes of the highest possible quality.
